Hey everyone. Please pray for my family. We just lost our Golden Retriever of 9 years, Sebastian. For those of you that know us well know that he WAS our family. He was a first child. Some might think that is wierd but its just the way it was. Mark is having an unbelievably hard time. Please keep us in your prayers. We definately have comfort in the fact that Sebastian Jr., one of the puppies is here. So crazy how God works!

Hey everyone. I know it has been forever. So sorry! We were so crazy around Christmas time that it seemed there wasn't an end. Indeed there was and I am now back:) Happy SO belated New Year to everyone. Thank you guys SO much for making 2008 so successful! It is because of all you guys that I am able to express myself as an artist. You guys give me the honor of letting me do what I love. 2008 was such a milestone year for me. We opened the new studio and havn't looked back. I can honestly say that was and continues to be such a blessing in my life. I was actually able to get my famiily life back. Woo Hoo!!!!!!

My promise to you guys in 2009 is to 1 update the blog more regularly:), 2 continue to give you new and exciting ideas. I have 4 educational opportunities this year alone. I NEVER want to be stagnet or content with my portraits. I always want to be on the cutting edge for you guys. I am so incredibly blessed and I have you guys to thank!!!

Hey everyone.
I just wanted to put up a quick post letting you all know my grandmother, or who I call MommaNipper, passed away this morning at 5:45. She fought a very brave and couragious fight with pancreatic cancer. Up until the very end she fought until we all told her it was OK to rest. It was a very beautiful thing. She was in her home laying in her favorite place of her home. My grandfather, PapaNipper, got up very early this morning and sat at her side. He sat there holding her hand telling her how after 50 plus years of marriage he would marry her again today. She took her last breathe with him right at her side. You know my grandparents had one of the those amazing bonds that you only dream of. My MommaNipper was the most amazing, selfless, and caring person I have ever known. Ever since I can remember she was always "doing" what needed to be done and helping others. She always put others needs before her own and was happy doing it. Her absolute favorite phrase, which she repeated often, was God is good all the time, All the time God is good. I know that she truly believed that even at the end.

MommaNipper as I sit here and type I know that you are with me. You have helped make me the woman I am today. I only pray that I may live to be half the woman you are. Sweet dreams-

Hey guys,
Just wanted to quickly let you know what has been going on.
We are in the new house but just today got internet capability.
Please know that I will be returning all email requests within the next 24 hours.
Also, my husband has moved us to the "woods" LOL so my phone reception isn't that great.
On top of that I think both kids have the flu. Well its been a "little" crazy.
We received some water damage at the studio yesterday which is going to put us behind schedule.
I really am smiling while I type this:):):)
I know that God is taking care of us and this will all be WAY worth it!

Mom is from Argentina and absolutely gorgeous:) She has a modeling background and was such a natural.

NEW STUDIO!!!!

SO SO SO SO much is going on right now:)
As you see it is 2am and I am blogging.
I have been working all night and thought I would tell you all what has been happening.
First, YEAH a new studio.
I am told that the studio will be ready Feb. 18th!
You guys know how happy that makes me.
When I started this business 4 years ago I never dreamed it would take me to the point where I am.
I am so incredibly blessed and I KNOW that it is my calling to photograph.
I will post pictures of the studio as soon as I can.
We are picking out paint colors, so exciting!!!!!

Next, I just returned from an absolutely amazing senior workshop in Arizona.
The pictures that I am posting are actual seniors.
I will be looking for 2009 seniors who could possibly be models at this incredible event in Las Vegas next year!

Third, we have sold our house and are moving:):)
We are excited and a little unsure about what is coming our way but, we know that we will be taken care of.

Fourth, look for an article about Christy Hollingshead Photography in February's Abode Magazine!
SO many wonderful things happening and I can't thank you guys enough!
You guys encourage me, support me, and sometimes get me out of my comfort zone.
You know I have found I think that is what I love the best.

Just wanted to tell everyone Happy New Year and thank you guys so much for such an amazing 2007.

I am scheduled to attend several workshops this year all over the country.
The first will be a Senior workshop this month in Arizona.
I plan to bring a cutting edge approach to senior portraits to this area:)
I am SO SO SO excited about this opportunity.

I don't blame her, this little girl is absolutely gorgeous. The first time I photographed her she was about 3 months and oh my she had those same big eyes.
It's so funny to watch these kiddos grow up and change so much.
We had a great session despite the Arkansas mosquitos??? Who would have thought, arn't those supposed to be gone by now.
Miss L took it all in stride. Dad even brought his truck to haul the green couch:) I'm sure mom had nothing to do with that:)
